Course Reflection
Why I Signed Up
I signed up for this course on the first day of classes, it wasn’t originally on my schedule. However, I saw my friends in the class and I liked having Mr. Davidson before so I decided I’d take this class instead of a study hall. I didn’t really have any expectations as to what I was getting into.
My Favorite Novel
My favorite novel we read was Please Ignore Vera Dietz. Maybe it’s recency bias, but I really liked it. I went on Kairos during our time reading this novel and I didn’t have a lot of time to catch up, so I ended up reading over 100 pages in one day, so that I could be caught up with the class. That day, the book really got good to me, I loved it and I couldn’t stop reading.
My Favorite Project
I liked the Daily Reading Minutes. Despite the fact that they caught me off guard every single time, it was fun for me to get to share a book that I like, and to hear about so many other books from the rest of the class.
Why Should Others Sign Up to Take This Course
I think this class is kind of a catch all, I think most people would like it. It’s not a hard class, but it’s challenging enough to get me engaged in the reading and the projects. It’s like a fun little book club.
