Fantasy/Science Fiction
I think generally I prefer science fiction over fantasy, but I love both. I could spend forever thinking about the different worlds I've learned about from all the media I've consumed over the years. I love to think about how I'd interact in the Pokémon world, or with the different characters I admire. The reason I say I prefer science fiction is because my most favorite things, while they have elements from both, are built mostly from sci-fi. I like the ideas of modern and realistic settings transformed by fictitious things like radioactive spiders and bat-obsessed super geniuses.
My favorite location to read about is Gotham City. The heroic inhabitants, specifically the Bat-Family, are so cool and they dominate my mind pretty much daily. I don't know if I'd want to live there though, it definitely would have it's cons. First of all and most obviously, crime runs rampant, there are several gangs, super-villains, and just basic thugs everywhere, but that's what the heroes are for, so it can't be THAT bad. It's also very corrupt, pretty much anyone with any kind of power is secretly evil. Finally it's cursed by the evil bat demon imprisoned under the city, affecting many many people with his evil forever. However, despite all that, I still think it's pretty cool. The vibes are nice and if I was magically transported there with the knowledge I have now, even I could become one of the heroes I admire so much, they love taking in kids off the street anyway. The idea that I could become one of the Bat-Family members would make all the bad things worth it, and I know how silly that sounds. Being a superhero like that just seems so fun to me, the bat themed stuff is all awesome, but the extensive training would probably suck.
Batman is cool, I enjoy his story and he has some of the best comics.
